Don’t go anywhere else! Honestly an incredible stay, especially for the price. The bed + pillows were extremely comfortable - which was much appreciated after a 17 hour flight and 24 hour travel day- The robe was a wonderful touch, and something you only see in nicer hotels. The decor was tasteful and aligned with Zen theme. Even though it was close to the road, it was very quiet. Grateful for the secure location and parking, kind staff. Really there wasn’t anything they overlooked. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and will be booking again next time.

I have never written a hotel review before even checking out, but this place is SO good that I'll do it! Quiet and safe location close to upscale single-family home neighborhood; new, modern and clean inside and out; the best motel I've ever seen! In the room: room safe, fridge, microwave, coffee maker AND a plush bathrobe!! Daily complimentary room service and a breakfast with fresh waffles, bagels, pastries, oatmeal... Friendly and helpful staff - all that at $135 a night. I can't believe it. This is where I will stay whenever I have business again on the SF Peninsula.

I stayed here recently with my parents. My mom is a patient of Stanford and the campus was 10-15 min away by car. Being off El Camino Real, the location is close to lots of restaurants with quick access to all major freeways. I was impressed with how friendly the entire staff was and how clean the rooms were. This hotel makes an effort for guests to have a comfortable and clean stay and it much appreciated. Special thanks to Pabi and Jorge for going above and beyond with their friendliness.

My only complaint is the bed was low. But it was comfortable. I'm pretty tall so it probably wouldn't be so bad for shorter people. It was quiet and it was well kept.

I stayed there for 2 nights (Oct 2023), and I found a cockroach on the bathroom floor and several ants on the wall... called the front desk and they send someone to clean it up. When I tried to talk to the front desk, of course they cannot do anything... I would not recommend this hotel to anyone although other reviews said "this hotel is super clean...". If it was not for a last-minute business trip, and all other hotels near the Stanford University were fully booked, I will not stay there.

Very nice indeed and handily placed. There are laundry and gym facilities also. A good base for San Jose and San Francisco. We found the staff helpful and the rooms clean and of a good size. Will stay again.

Everything about The Zen Hotel was great! Comfortable beds, lots of good pillows, fabulous shower, awesome breakfast, and relaxing backyard patio. The Zen is very clean, no odors, and very quiet. The price was very affordable.

The room is really big and spacious, a bit dark. Kitchen attached but no cutlery or pots . The breakfast lacks any fruits or vegetables. Good service.
